Thoughts from school.

Thoughts from School.

Much of what I saw, on that first day,

Was hidden from my view,

A child's eyes not always sharp,

Looked at ,but never truly focused,

On my surroundings, but blind in fact,

To all I did survey, except for one,

Anothers face, as scared as me,

A port in a storm of isolation,

We stood together, guards at the door,

Watching after all the rest,

You were stronger in your mind

I was taller, I would always lag behind.

Your road was always different to mine,

Mine was never planned just found,

Your progression quick and sure,

Mine was always mistake bound.

Our friendship grew over the days,

But fell apart over the years,

Until the day, strangers we had become,

Far from the days it all begun.

But , I still remember, still recall,

Those days guarding at the door,

Your progression quick and sure,

For me, I am still tall, stuck well behind.
