Life and times, past and present, good and bad.

During 2020 I had an accident. During work, I slipped and I severely injured my back, which I have had problems with in the past (Hospitalisation). This time however I had to have surgery to help rectify the problem.  I only spent about 5-6 days in Hospital, but during this time I realised how vulnerable I was, how much I depended on the Hospital staff and my Wife (whose visits were allowed only because she works in the Hospital (Covid regs, etc).

It has taken a further 6 months of pain and help from all to get me back to a stage where I am now able to walk unaided and do some pretty normal activities which until this year I took for granted. My pain helped to focus my mind on what's important in life and helped to fertilise fresh shoots of thoughts for my poetry.

This blog will be a mixture of my thoughts on life in general and some of my old and new Poetry. I have included my email address this time so you can actually leave comments, send poetry of your own or just to moan about the things I am talking about. Please join me, you may actually find, as I have, that but writing down your thoughts, etc, will help you deal with problems of your own.

2021 will be hopefully a better year for all of us, so let's look forward to it, let's make a promise to ourselves to get on with what ever happens, look after those we love, and try to enjoy our lives.
