Friday 18 December
Another week goes by and we still have no solution in Brussels, who knew? All of us I reckon, to be honest. I think that most of us could have foreseen this outcome at the beginning of the year, yet there are oodles of overpaid beaurocrats earning more than three of us earn a year coming up with exactly that idea.
One of the arguments most of us had against Europe in the first place were based on the way they conducted their business so sloooooooooooowly, and this is a perfect example of the total and utter beaurocratic system that has caused most of us to be fed up with being a part of the EU.
The country is still in turmoil with the question of "what tier are we in and why?". To be honest with you I felt that we should have stayed in strong lockdown for a longer period than we did, but then, I dont own a business, and i understand why they were basically against it. \\the thin is that now, because of our inaction to close the country down completely to allow a short sharp shock, and then hopefully take control of the situation we missed a trick. 'Its the Governments fault for being indecisive' I hear you shout, maybe, but they really were damned if the did and damned if they didn't.
So as this Pandemic continues one of the things we seem to have forgotten about is the continued and increasing strain on the NHS.
I would like everyone to have a second thought for the special people who work to keep us well and safe, especially at this time of the year. They all have families, they all want to forget this year and get on with their lives, but for them the Pandemic is an everyday thing. Their lives are being affected immeasurably, as are ther families. I just want to thank them publically for the way they have responded to this chrisis. They are real heroes so dont forget them at this time of the year.
All the best for now, and I hope you and all the people you love and care for are able to share the love this Christmas time.
