Its quite a coincidence that the current book i am reading, The Altman Code by Robert Ludlum (ghosted Gayle Lyndes), has brought me to a storyline involving the Uighur. In the book Hann Chinese are systematically abusing, raping and murdering Uigher people as a part of an extermination policy.
I am so sorry to say I had never heard about this, nor of the severity of the crimes being committed against humanity. Imagine , therefore, my surprise, when only days later the plight of these poor people was headline news. Imagine now my total disgust when I realised the Altman Code was written in 2003. We as a world have known about this crisis, abuse of power for over 20 years , at least and done nothing of substance to intervene.

Something here doesn't smell right, but what does when you have a huge country holding the rest of the world to ransom. By knowing about this horrendous situation and doing nothing about it is tantamount to complicity.

We should act now, and well done to Ms Nusrat Ghani MP for raising the plight of these people this morning in Parliament. I am as much to blame as everyone else for my total ignorance 9f thisnsituation, but willI be following this issue keenly in the future, please do the same and help become a part of the solution, not the problem.

I'm just sayin'.
