As the Chinese grip tightens around Myanmar, what are the UN doing about it, well nothing, as usual. The UN was founded to police the world and ensure that peaceful solutions could be found to geopolitical problems. What it has turned out to be is a pretty toothless tiger. China has become a major problem, well its been that for sometime now to be honest.

One of the hardest things to deal with is the fact that they are the biggest world player, and they use their power of veto to stop anything that endangers their interests. Surely this is making a mockery of the UN, something new needs to be set up that reduces the effect of a countries self interest?
